As part of CSE’s 20-year mission to promote sustainability worldwide, I was proud to see our expertise contribute to a groundbreaking initiative in the Middle East: the Oman ESG Index 2025 — a tool designed to elevate ESG transparency and performance across the Gulf.
This pioneering index was officially launched during Oman Sustainability Week (OSW), held from May 11–15, 2025, in Muscat. The event brought together government leaders, corporate decision-makers, and sustainability professionals from the broader region.
Together with the Muscat Stock Exchange, Oman’s Vision 2040 Follow-up Unit, and Phaze Ventures, we developed an initiative that reflects not only local ambition but also global ESG expectations. At CSE, we created the ESG Ratings framework that powers the index. We based it on international best practices while adapting it to the specific needs of Oman’s market.
What inspires me most about the Oman ESG Index 2025 is its impact beyond numbers. It highlights ESG frontrunners in the private sector and sets a powerful example for others. Most importantly, it transforms ESG reporting into a driver for leadership and long-term value.
This index doesn’t simply assess—it accelerates. It creates momentum for businesses that are ready to integrate ESG into their strategy. That has always been my goal: to turn sustainability from a concept into a culture.
As we extend our impact in the Gulf region and beyond, I remain committed to supporting businesses and markets that want to lead responsibly.
From New York to Muscat, our vision at CSE remains consistent:
Sustainability is leadership. Let’s lead with purpose.
